Stand out after a year of uncertainty

ReTrain to Retain will support 50,000 sport and physical activity professionals and volunteers who’ve had to find work outside the sector or had their hours reduced during the Covid-19 pandemic. If you’re working in an area of economic deprivation or supporting under-represented groups, then ReTrain to Retain is ideal for you. The scheme is also ideal for self-employed people and small businesses.

ReTrain to Retain has been designed to support everyone working or volunteering in sport and physical activity in England. You can access a host of free resources here. If you work with socially diverse communities, disabled people, or people with long-term health conditions you will be prioritised for additional support.

Consortium Partner

As the national governing body for group exercise, EMD UK works to support and empower group exercise instructors to inspire people to take part in physical activity. The team are made up of instructors, dance teachers, and sports coaches, meaning they understand the joy of being a group exercise instructor. We can offer practical advice, support, and guidance as well as award-winning products and training courses. Our free resources have been curated especially for ReTrain to Retain applicants and include exclusive content from some of the industry’s specialist experts.
